Ever since the Mars-Venus book came out there’s be a shorthand for describing the differences between how men and women think. There are certainly plenty of stereotypes when it comes to those differences, and none are more prevalent than those associated with shopping. Supposedly women love to shop, esp. for clothes, and men hate it. The one thing that both seem to have in common is a difficulty in shopping for the other.
With Christmas just around the corner you may be banging your head against the wall to figure out what to buy that special guy in your life. It’s actually a little embarrassing, since you’re so good at shopping for yourself, your kids, your family, even all your girlfriends and co-workers. But when it comes to shopping for significant other, you’re just as flummoxed as he is about what to give you.
There are some go-to gifts for men, depending on your budget. A new leather wallet is usually a good bet or a seiko 7t62 watch. Ties are a bit cliche, unless you know that your honey needs new ones and you already picked out the rest of his wardrobe. If you know his habits and tastes well enough you can risk buying him a set of DVDs for his favorite movie series or tv show or the CD box set for his favorite musical artist. There’s always video games or even a video game box if he doesn’t already have one.
As a last resort you can always ask him straight out what tools, car-related items, or sports paraphernalia he’d enjoy. After all, it’s about making him happy, not what you wish he would want.
